Bumblebees and friends built paper airplanes made from two geometric shapes connected by a straw. It was a really windy day for flight but we made some great discoveries about lift, gravity, air flow and drag. We experimented with size, shape, weight and thrust. We flew indoors and outdoors, examining the effects of wind speed on flight (hint: it wasn't always conducive to better flight!)
