Our Bumblebee and Ladybug scientists experienced a day of collection and scientific observation this week. After a nature walk to find objects they wanted to observe more closely, the students used safety glasses, magnifying glasses, and tongs, along with their senses of sight, hearing and smell to use the scientific process to make observations and discoveries about objects from the natural world around them. They discovered bugs inside pinecones, skeletons of plants, many shapes, textures and colors in their exploration.
