With our art teacher the Bumblebees and Ladybugs had an amazing experience at the Glass Museum. We got to watch glass art being created and see the artist herself at work in the hotshop. We saw the difference between transparent, translucent and opaque glass. We found out that once a month the glass museum chooses a piece of art made by a child and creates it out of glass. That inspired the artist in us! We stood inside a structure made of glass and learned that, regardless of the color it will be when it cools, all glass is orange when it is heated in the hot shop ovens. And we saw LOTS of Chihuly glass on display - probably our favorite part!
